About Me

Since moving to Germany I've been domesticated. I've got inklings to wear golf shorts with dress shoes and really care about the state of my garden. The days seem to pass by quicker or perhaps it's the kids. Although I will always regret not finishing my Mathematics degree in Ottawa, that regret cannot stack up against the enjoyment I get out of raising Lars, Natasha and Corbin.

Germany has it good points and bad. It is not Canada, nor tries to be, but some of the things they do here seem almost alien. They seem to be a country rooted in the past with elements of the present. It's not uncommon those two elements conflict with each other. I suppose that is a normal relationship with older countries.

You can tell from the pictures that the kids are all well. 10 fingers, 10 toes! Anke's work goes well and she is happy with her current assignments. We still toy with the idea of moving to Zurich, which is where her head office resides. However, we are not in a rush at the moment to make major changes and will probably settle in and enjoy a few years first.

It has been too long since I updated this!! Here are some more pictures!!
